Manyong Moon

He is Associate Professor and vice-director in Korean Research Institute of Science, Technology and Civilization at Chonbuk National University. He got his Ph.D. at Seoul National University in 2006 and his thesis is about early history of KIST (Korea Institute of Science and Technology).

His research area is the history of science in twentieth-century Korea, especially the history of biology and agriculture and science policy. His most recent book is The Evolution of Science and Technology Research Systems in South Korea (Paju, Deulnyeok, 2017). He is currently writing a book about the compressed development of science and technology under the Korean authoritarian regimes.
